Projects
Watershed Assessment
Develop a watershed analysis and a written report useful for land managers on a segment of Upper Penitencia Creek in San Jose. The report includes stakeholder information, a reconnaissance analysis, the identification of geomorphological features, a stream survey, a water quality analysis, and a longitudinal profile (550 manual measurements).
Ecological Site Observations
Near my apartment complex, I conducted site observations over a period of 14 weeks. I visited the site eight times, detailed observations and species interactions, photographed, edited, and presented findings. An examination is made of the abiotic and biotic influences on the site, as well as its history, emphasizing its relationship with urban ecology.
Geomorphological Sources
On the narrow valley floor of the Alum Rock Park Reserve, sediment sources were collected. A quarter-mile perimeter surrounded the area, which included an elevation of 156 m and a stone bridge as a reference point. Five geomorphic features of erosion were assessed by the field survey.
